I wrote these two poems for my girlfriend (shes pretty athletic) and was wondering what you all think about them. any feedback is appreciated (good or bad). THANKS :)
The way I feel about you
Time with you I like to spend.
It's fun being with your girlfriend.
When I am with you I feel different inside.
There are feelings that I can not hide.
How great I feel from head to toe.
I smile, as you're someone special I know.
Something I know will always be very true,
That there are feelings for you only I can know.
Then there’s the way that you look when you smile at me,
It’s like something special that only I can see.
There is something special that I want you to know.
That whenever you need me, I’ll be there for you.
The way you are
You seem to have the perfect weight,
And your body unmistakably has the perfect shape.
You seem to be able to run forever.
And do as many pushups as your body desires.
There‘s the dedication you have for becoming number one,
And the way you always seem to be having fun.
Everything about you is special to me.
Especially my attraction to your inside beauty.
But the way you always say goodbye,
Makes me missing being by your side.
The way you leave me after we kiss.
Leaves me feeling lonely and amiss.
But when I feel your aura so close and clear,
It’s like I’m in heaven when you are near.
To feel your body pressed up against mine,
It’s as if there is too little time.
Sometimes I look above, to the stars at night,
And all I can think about is if you’re all right.
Will you be there tomorrow when the sun rises,
To get up and run as much as your heart desires.
