My Girlfriend Wants Me To Leave Her

My girlfriend and I have been together for a year and a half, and have known eachother for 4 years, and with every month that passes, she gets more and more distant, I cant hug her or kiss her or cuddle with her, she just doesnt let me or get upset if I try too hard. And about an hour ago she randomly asked me to break up with her while watching TV, she says she feels horrible and is getting depressed that I love her so much more than she loves me, and I deserve someone who can return my love, but I dont want someone else, i just want her, so what the hell am I supposed to do? Is really as simple as the stupid "if you love a bird" saying? I dont want to be without her, but we're both getting hurt while being together, does that mean I have to just say goodbye? I just dont know what to do.

It really sounds like she just tried to break up with you ... Sometimes, you just have to learn to let go. She asked for it and is obviously not happy in the relationship. As much as it may hurt, the only way to help heal faster is by ending it as soon as you're able.

How happy can you be knowing that the other person isn't happy?

break up with her, call up your buddies, and go out and have fun. Best start I have found to getting over a breakup

She doesn't want to feel bad by breaking up with you, so she's giving you an easy way out. I would take it, neither of you sound happy in this relationship at all.

You may love her, but trust me, you're fully capable of loving someone else just as much, if not more.

Let her go.. and move on.
Go out with your friends like mavviper said..
And look for another woman who will reciprocate your love..

find out why she's feeling bad and work with it.... u love her right so why wouldnt u want to try? sure it may seem like a pointless idea to some but life is pointless in the end :P
