Is there anything I can do to reduce the amount of saliva I produce while kissing?

Hello,

This problem is driving me crazy, every time I kiss my GF she tells me that I am too slobbery.

Now I am very concious when kissing, my last GF did not help as she always used to criticise me but would not actually tell me what I am dong wrong, just complain which didn't help.

It is causing me a real problem as it is kind of hindering my relationship a bit because I can not kiss my girlfriend properly. I am always very aware and try to make sure I swallow before she comes near me but it doesn't seem to help. Obviously she then pulls away which kind of knocks me back, then we try again but then I am thinking about it which means that I start to get anxious and then in turn this leads to us just stopping as I am not letting go and become very tense.

Obviously not kissing is also have a impact on our sex life as well as not being able to kiss her properly means that she finds it very hard to get in the mood and it all just kind of goes to pot from there.

Is there anything I can do? Any advice, tips, just anything as it is driving me crazy and I need to do something.

I don't know what would be worse, sometimes I do feel that the human body is slightly flawed in it's design :)

I will give that ago but not always practical, granted at the moment it is killing the mood but having to nip to the bathroom for 5 mins is not going to help keep the mood alive.

yeah, brush and floss.

if there's food and bacteria in your mouth, the saliva will come to attack it.

you don't have to do it every five minutes while you're making out. just after meals.

Go for shorter kisses so you can swallow more frequently.. Also, use less tongue so it's easier to swallow. Use more lips, less tongue.

Ugh...tongue kissing feels weird and gross.

I love multiple short, sensual kisses. A kiss that makes me grasp on to my s/o's neck and pull him closer. A kiss that feels like we are about to make love.Yummie.

It almost sounds like you're appetized by kissing her ... it could be the motions your mouth is doing ... like, I'll do some weird movement and saliva will squirt out of my gums ... it's weird, yes, but possible.

I've kissed after eating and haven't had problems with slobber ...

I have that sometimes too, just randomly and very occasionally. Its is rather strange.

Not actually kissing with tongues, just on the lips which is why it is very strange. I will try brushing and flossing to see what happens, hopefully it will bring it under control a bit more.

Are you dehydrated and your salivary glands are trying to compensate? Try drinking some water before you make out. Maybe it will help.
