Long Distance Crush

I just got back from Afghanistan and I found out that while I was gone, my crush moved to New York. I'm in Philly. I go up to Boston about once a month, and it wouldn't be a stretch to see her on the way there. I know she likes me, she told me before I left, and we talked about dating sometime. I don't think getting the date would be the problem, but if something did work out I would feel guilty because it would be instantly a distance thing. I'm planning on going up there to visit her (part of it is the fact that I've never been there) I just don't know what to do. Advice?

Visit her and see how it goes - things might have changed since you left. How long were you in Afghanistan? Did you both keep in touch while you were away?
