I love her...what do I do?

I've been with my girl for 2 years and things were great so we decided to move in together...it's been 6 months and it's like we're roommates or something and we argue all the time about stupid stuff. Everyone I've talked to said we should have gotten married first before moving in together - but in a situation like this and being married seems worse! I know she's been kind of insecure because she's gained like 20lbs or so since we've moved in together (I've gained weight too - blah!!) but she's beautiful no matter what and I keep telling her this but nothing i say seem to matter. I'm totally in love with this girl but I don't know how to get us back to what we were. What can I do?

There is nothing you can do, her insecurity can't be fixed by other people, only she can work on that but it might help if you encouraged her to exercise and eat a healthy diet. You can make it out that you want to lose weight and ask her to help you by being your exercise partner because you get bored doing it by yourself.

Try to argue less. Identify the patterns why the arguments occur and try to get to the bottom and the root causes of why they occur. Be more understanding if requests are reasonable. Tell her how it makes you feel if requests are unreasonable.

How would getting married first solve anything?

Exactly what I was wondering.

I'm a "try it before you buy it" kind of person. You're trying it. Sounds like you don't really like it. Aren't you glad you're not committed for life?

I think I'd have to live with the person I'm with for at least a few years before I married them.
