When talking becomes whining?

I want to know how much is too much - talking to your boyfriend about some problems. He doesn't have major problems with me he says. But I have some issues with him, that we have been talking about, or I have been talking about - over 6 months. It's about how he acts in social parties, with friends and so.

We can talk in general and he likes to talk about those problems - talking is the only solution he thinks. I respect him for that.

I want to know, is it possible to change the people via talking about the problems -
Do you guys listen to your girlfriend and want to change?
How much is too much until its plain whining he hears?

Many therapists support nice lifestyles based on the belief that talking can change people.

If you've been trying to resolve this for 6 months, then its not talking. It's nagging. And it's falling on dead ears. Instead of talking, start acting!

Three things:

1: Whoohoo.. you're talking. Who's LISTENING?

2: One can't change people. One can change habbits, behavioural patterns, but one can never change people.

3: It becomes whining when one's not LISTENING.

You are going to have to learn to accept him for how he is, or get rid of him. That is the only solution to your problem if after 6 months, he isn't responding. Don't be a nag.
