How to forget the person u loved??

Hey, guy i need some help forgetting a special person. She a friend that took care of me when am ill, we go eat together, she help me with work, she always there when i need her, she cook for me, we sleep together, we have sex but to her were only friend, Basically were a couple but without the title of bf n gf. About 5 month ago she met a guy. we still lived n do the things we do until 2 month ago when she got serious with the guy and moved bax to her country to be with the guy. I now misses the time we were together. am the type that not use to being taken care of and since me and her got together she done thing that no other women would do for a guy. I use to be able to care for my self when am injured from a fight, i do my laundry, i can cook. now all those activity keep reminding me of her. I now have a girlfriend but i dont wanna see her heartbroken because of my love for another girl. What should i do? every nite when am with my gf i always remembered the time me and my friend danced under the full moon. Now i on a get away in US on my own. but every activity i always thought that it would be nice if my friend is with me here.How do I forget her plz help me i need to move on.PLZ help.

Before you make your desicion, you need to figure out that what do you what deep in heart. Do you want her back and live with her for the rest of yourself, or do you just miss your 'responsibility -proof' relationship. If it is the second answer, what you need is a closure! Simply telling her what in your mind. I'm sure she is missing you now as well, but maybe just as a friend.

You never forget, but you can learn to accept that what you had with her is over.

The key is not forgetting, it's acceptance.

ygg is right... you cant forget it coz its your past.. whatever the reason maybe is just to accept that people change but the memories will still be yours.Life must go on.. cheer up dude.. God takes away coz he has better something to give on you..

I think that she is in the same position you are in.. Did you ever tell her your feelings about her!? YOU SHOULD CHASE AFTER HER!! and sweep her off her feet. When you have a relationship like that where you take care of each other and get along with each other you start to depend on that person you start to like them more and then love. I think there is no way she thinks of you as just a friend.

Yep. I can relate. Me and Anako... we still have sex. He still gives me money... pays SOME of my major bills and does all the things a man is supposed to do for his woman... yet we came to a mutual agreement that we need to get ourselves together before we consider marraige. He had re-proposed to me. Then he came to me and talked to me about why I said yes again. We say that we are going to be friends until fate desides otherwise... but we still carry on like we are together.

Seems like "You need a woman to forget another woman" does not work on you. Just... You cannot forget about her. There is no solution you could find here too. You need to overcome it yourself!

But... I share the same pain as you, I know it is very very hard to forget. (even tough I said it so easily)

Try to love your current gf more. Try a more gentle... more romantic, a slower movement~ You could love her until you have forgotten who are you.

do u still keep in touch w/ your ex? Try cutting ALL contact and hiding all pics/notes/gifts from her until you've healed yourself. Then once u have your emotions under control if u want to proceed w/ a friendship or whatever then do that....but keep yourself together before worrying about it. It's hard.

I'm still in love w/ my ex and sometimes i'll feel real strong for her and then for a few days or a few weeks i'll not think about her or pine for her so much, then the feelings will surface.....u just have to try and keep busy.

I actually started dating some girls i met online that i wasn't even totally attracted to just to socialize and get out more....i really had to push myself cause #1 i wasn't really attracted to them and #2 i just didn't wanna do anything but fix my ex and get her back. In doing so u just push her away more and u prolong your healing/grieving period.

I actually spent about an hour last night in bed remembering a night i had slept over w/ my ex, she had a lunch date with someone and i was still asleep and when i woke up i found a glass of ice water by the bed for me. And idk how that small little thing did it but i think thats when i started to develop real feelings for her and idk, i just thought of how happy i was and how significant it was, and tried to imagine her lookin at me while i was sleeping. Usually now i just embrace the memories and accept that right now i can't have what i want.
