Another Advice from Females Post . . Sorry. . Work Relationship

I would like a girls perspective on something. This is a bit weird for me as I normally don't get as caught up.

There's this girl at work (First hurdle). We've been working together for quite a while now and get on really well.

I thought I'd see if she felt the same way but asking her out for a few drinks a little while back. She said yes, but backedout for one reason or another. This happened again. At that point, I thought I'd try one more time and if it happens again, I'd just leave it. But she agreed and we did go out for drinks. Was an ok evening but did feel a bit weird. She said she had to leave early but left later than she said. And she also suggested before the evening, that we do it again properly sometime.

The fact that I work with her on a day to day basis, makes me like her even more. There have been many times I've said to myself to leave it and leave it, but whenever I do, she initiates contact with queries about lunch, expressing her boredom and some other irrelevant conversation. People at work have been noticing body language etc between us and have asked both us individually if something is going on.

I did initially put it down to flirting at work, playful banter etc. We've even got "pet" names for each other. But now I'm not too sure. Sometimes the conversations do not involve flirting etc. Its just wanted to spend time. But there are times where she does seem to act a bit cold etc.

Anyone got any suggestions on what to do? Anyway I can find out if it is harmless flirting?

First of all, thank you for spelling hurdle correctly. We don't see that a lot.

Secondly, count your blessings that it hasn't worked out so far because getting involved with a coworker is the Drano in your dinner. It's poison. Don't do it.

Like I've said before, there are over three billion women on the planet. Most of them don't work with you. Choose one of them.

It's pretty clear that she's not into you. Move on before you leave yourself a bad reputation at work, that is the last thing you need.
