I need help, in a good way though, quite urgent

I really need some help with this girl, we are quite young 18-19, but were comfortable with eachother. I'll try to keep it short. We've recently broken up, two months ago and would be back together now if i wasnt leaving for university on saturday. Theres an explanation below (sort of) feel free to skip to the last 2 paragraphs

I must explain why we broke up, and by that i mean why i broke up with her, the situation is an absolute joke. She was unhappy at the time, took some bad advice thinking a break would strengthen our relationship, but she was going on a family holiday for a lot of this break. Other people tried it on with her many times, due to her being naive, but also due to her being friendly and having a real nice smile. I mean even some of my friends who became friends with her. One even said it sounded like i was cheating on her with her best friend, soon after i broke with her his ex flat mate asked her out. There was no evidence other than she used to like me when i started seeing billie to be fair and the lad who said it knows i wouldnt do something like that and doesnt know the girl, so i can only think of one reason for him saying it. All in all shit friends and people and me suggesting some of these people arn't what they make out to be. Whether she really realised it or not she was leading a few people on and i didnt like that because it was more than twice. So on the break i spoke to her and ended it.

Some of that may have been unnecessary but i really could go overboard and do a page on this one guy alone, but since she got back we had 2 weeks not really talking. Then weve just acted as if we were seeing eachother again if only a few times a week, but we have discussed my going away and talked about starting the relationship again. The problem with this relationship is it was quite short lived and neither of us wanted it to end when it did. As much as i hate to say it, i know shes got some real issues, parental, low self esteem and is even a little neurotic. She is basically the type of girl i would normally avoid, but shes full of soul and i know where shes coming from.


I would like to take her out to dinner on friday in the two hours we both have free this week and get her a gift before i leave, since we wont be getting back together. I would like to try it again in the future and we've spoke about that too. But i need a gift to show im serious and to lift her up a little cause i know shes a little down at the minute. I feel a ring shows too much commitment, and i know that silver things give her bit of a rash, plus i dont know the size. I dont have much experience on gifts like this, but i want something that will be a little sentimental and just show i care and that im serious about what i say.

I was thinking along the lines of a gold bracelet, but is there any advice on jewelery or ideas for a young girl, even if it is something you just love to get yourself it would be really appreciated.

I think that's really sweet, though still a bit much. I guarantee she'll always remember you, though. I still have a necklace a guy gave me when I turned 16. It was an over the top gift, but I loved it anyway.
