Weird dilema!

If you remember my threads about a girl called katie an our on-off relationship then that will help alot, anyway breif background.

I went out with katie.
She dumped me
we didnt speak for 4months then she got back incontact with me after seing me out with a girl.
Katie asked me to meet up with her, I went (even though she now has a boyfreind)
I was meeting her regurly.

But the way I was acting she wanted me more because I wasnt that bothered you know what I mean?

well where over (again) and this time I dont want her to come back but if I do what i did last time e.g. act not bothered, dont text her etc
I know she'll come running back hounding me down.

How do I.. scare her away? shes said to me "there will always be something there between us" so i know shes going to initiate something again and tbh, we've hooked up twice it's VERY likely it's going to happen again. but this time I dont want to get hurt even though I have feelings for her.

Help me repulse this girl...should i become needy, clingy and bombard her with texts?

Im currently in the process of changing my phone number and deleting my facebook.
The only thing i'll have to do is avvoid her at the weekend in town. It's going to be hard seing her face again but I think it's for the right.

It's just hard as she's is best mates with my best mates long time girlfriend, she'll always be around. Suppose I need to man up and accept i'll never be with her and let it go even when she comes running back she's ended it with me twice, chances are she'll do it a third, fourth, fifth.
