my boyfriend of a month or so is leaving for college within a week. we have been extremely intimate and have done just about everything except have sex. i am seventeen years old and a virgin. i know that it is ultimately my decision and is one that only i can make, but i really would enjoy any other thoughts on the subject. i do really like him, but distance does a lot to a relationship. would having sex with him basically throw away my virginity. any opinions welcome.
if i were you, i would wait. just because he is leaving for college isn't really a good enough reason to have sex for the first time. raverboy

save it, and see if the relationship remains strong enough, then make your decision on the matter.
i too agree with daletom. one month is not a very long time. you still have no idea if its right expecially at your age. i know this b/c i too am young (just turned 18 not to long ago). wait until you know you and him are ready for it and make it special. you will want to remember it the rest of your life. you dont want to think back on your first time as a waste or regret it so wait until you are over 90% sure you want it. there will most likely always be some doubt on whether or not you are ready for it but you want to get rid of as much of that doubt as possible. and it sounds to me like you arent so sure you want it yet since you are asking for others opinions. hope that helps.
