supermarket till staff

i go shopping every saturday and a quiet,pretty girl caught my eye and i started to go to her till every time i went.she always asks how i am doing at university and asks about my family.this week though the person in front of me in the queue forgot an item and i said i would go and get it for her.but laura-the cashier-said 'i dont want you to go anywhere and emphasised anywhere.i have recently lost my grandad and havent been shopping there much but i went back today and he smiled at me before i got to the tills and while she was serving somebody was talking to me and said i havent seen you for a while then smiled at me.are these subtle hints i am missing or just cashier chit-chat?

I live in France, and the cashiers here are grumpy as hell ( well the ones I come across anyway)....I also lived in london, where they are a bit more friendly...but not that friendly...

My point is...she likes you....ask her out for a coffee...if she says no....take another queue :)
