I got her number and I don't want to screw up again

Ok so I'm a junior and 17. This girl who is a freshman who is very cute added me on facebook. We used to have an art class together until I dropped it for another teacher who is a friend of mine. Long story short we bs trough messages and I say how I still talk to the old art teacher about motorcycles. Me and him both have crotch rockets. She asked f I was into bikes and told her how I had one and she said she loved them. So I fgured I'd ask for her number. She gives it to me and all.

Now how should I play this out. I always manage to screw this stage up. What should I do from here. Text her and talk to her ad if so how long til I do so?

Once I have a girl interested I dont seem to have a problem but how do I get there. And remember were in highschool and calling and just talking isn't really popular. Text is where it is.

Call/text her, and tell you just washed your bike, it's a nice day, and ask if she wants to go for a ride. She'll have a lot of fun on the bike, and even better she'll have her arms around you the whole time.

That would be great but 2 problems. 1) I live in Ohio and I don't think I'll be seeing another decent day for awhile. 2) would u let u daughter hop on the back of some kids crotch rocket? I know I wouldn't.

I always just text a girl and just try and get to kno them better. This doesn't seem to work like it used to and k just don't kno what to do anymore.

I considered both of those scenarios, and the only real problem is the weather. What her dad doesn't know won't kill him. :)

The problem with texting her, and getting to know her better, is you're going to end up being a friend. Things move very fast at your age, and she no doubt has a dozen other really horny 14-17 year olds trying to "get to know her better". If you don't move quickly, you're going to end up being in the friend zone.

That makes so much sense you have no idea haha. Well obviously you do... Like you said things move quickly and if I wait for her to hop on the back of my bike this could be April...

So should I not even text her to just bullshit? Should I wait til like Thursday or something and shoot her a text, make small talk and ask her to a movie?

well, id text her, through the week then ask her out for the movie on the weekend, and be strong with the flirting to show a sign of interest throughout the texting.

I was going to suggest a movie too.

Ask if she's into the whole Twilight thing. Tell her you'll take her & offer to nibble on her neck. (j/k)

Yep, ask her out to a movie. You need to make it really clear that you have only one intention with her, and that you're certainly not looking for a friend.

It's already Wednesday, and Friday/Saturday is "date night". Spend the next couple days sending her flirtatious text messages, and then Friday ask her out to a movie.

Thanks for the input everyone. I am on a vacation now and won't be back til late Friday. Should I make the plans Friday for saturday? I also use the method of taking forever to text bak and I can't tell if it works or not. I kno if a girl takes forever to get back with me o get real anxious and constantly think about her.

Make a date for Saturday on Friday. Till then just play it cool. You don't have to wait *forever* to get back to her, but you don't need to text her back immediately like you're desperately waiting to hear from her.

Call don't text. There is nothing but mixed signals and message that comes from texting.

I'm pretty random with my responses sometimes instantly other times 10, 15, 20. Like I said random it just depends.

Call her. It's more intimate, will make you 'stand out from the other guys, and it'll help give you more confidence talking to her in real life. Text sometimes, call others, definitely call when you ask her out! If you're the type who goes quite when you have to talk on the phone, think through what you're gonna say first, don't worry if you stumble, it's kinda cute in a guy (funny, but cute- also shows the girl the hguy might be nervous, mybe 'coz he's interested). She haas to know you're interested in more than just friends, before you ask her out - like someone said, send her flirty texts (not dirty ones, just flirty, compliment her clothes or something, or smile, tell her she has nice hair,)otherwise that's all it'll be.
