I am in LOVE with my best friend/housemate. HELP!
Hey ladies,
I need you help. I am in love with my best friend who is also my housemate. When I first met her I was not attracted to her but now over the course of about a year and a half we have become very close and now I am totally in love with her. Over the time I have known her we have done some amazing things together including raising a dog, traveling, starting a farm and spending A LOT of time together. She compliments my looks, lifestyle and achievements when we talk about life stuff. Although she is young (she is 21 and I am 27) she talks about how its hard for her to meet a potential partner "to settle down with". Last December (2009) I finally conjured the confidence to confess my love for her. When we talked she did NOT give me the response that I wanted. It was devastating because I, and others that know us very well including other housemates, were convinced that she loved me too. Now things have settled and we're friends again. Its challenging because my feelings are still there and I hold on to the hope that one day she will change her mind. Its hard because we live together and I try and find ways of keeping friendly distance, but she still kind of seeks me out, and of course I can't say "no". When we are together I am totally excellent and don't show signs of the challenge that I am still going through. Its been about two months since the talk and now I find myself trying to do little things that go in the direction of more than just friends.
My questions for you ladies is:
What can I do to make her realize that I am the one for her?
Is there any chance that one day she will open that door of possibility?
Thanks for all the help,
Dudeman
