should i just tell her i like her

okkay, so there is this girl, and we have been really close to each other for quite awhile. We always hang out and make jokes with each other and im really starting to get the feeling that she likes me. I really like her as well.

I told one of her friends i was planning on asking her out, and she said that i should tell the girl that i like her first. She then said she would ask for me

so my friend who is a girl and is pretty close to the both of us, asked her if she liked me she said, i like him as a friend.

but the girl who asked said she seemed like she was lying or kinda shy cuz there were other people around at the time.


should i still go through with just telling her i like her myself in person? and is there a chance she was just saying that and she actually does like me?
