Should I keep trying or just let it go?

Hello everyone. I'm not a teen, but even though I'm solving a very trivial problem.

I was in a relationship with one guy, we didn't argue, it was very natural. Even though he is not a romantic kind of guy, he often called me, came to my house, we were together every day. He came up with the idea to live together next year, and I agreed. He was basically the one who always talked about me in front of everyone and wanted to go on holidays together. However, once he came that he is considering going somewhere else for one year. My first reaction was that he destroyed our plans etc. My reaction was very stupid, but it shocked me. I wrote him an email, that I don't think it will work out, we are together just a few months, and I don't think it's fair of me to expect him to think about me somewhere else and that he would really worry.
I've seen him how he is in the middle and can't decide so I though it's going to be easier for him, I didn't want to influent his decision. He didn't tell me anything, he acted normally. I asked him later whether this is it, if he doesn't have anything to say to me. He didn't. We didn't talk about anthn but nothing really changed, we were always together, etc. But gradually we lost contact somehow, he changed he doesn't respond like before. I told him that I didn't mean it in a bad way, that I'm sorry, and I hope it's going to be ok. He said it’s OK, but nothing changed. Now we don't even chat. He barely say hello. My concern is, how it is possible that someone who once told you that you mean a world to him so change. I know I did stupid things, but I explained to him my intentions. Don't I deserve at least a little talk? Why you think he's doing that? Please, especially boys, try to explain to me, because I realized that girls interpret things a little differently. He let me go, that’s it, not even a little afford. I thought that such an issue would not do such a thing. He doesn't want to talk. So what the hell am I supposed to do, I deserve at least to know if was everything just a lie :( I wouldn't expect such a thing from an adult who was never such a drama queen or womanizer. I know it's my fault but I didn't mean it to go so far.

From my point of view, that may happen if he still has feelings for you and he is trying to move on, or if he was pissed at you for some reason... Most guys avoid feelings by building a wall around themselves, I think this might be what's going on, although there's really no way to tell except talking to him.
