Rhubarb Slush Recipe...I need input, yo.

Need help with a recipe. I'll be using raspberry vodka as the alcohol.

Which recipe would be better, ya think?

This one looks flavorful but maybe too sweet, no one wants too sweet/syrupy drinks. You're just asking for trouble then.

I reckon the sugar is just to offset the sourness of the rhubarb (and boiling it helps too), so even if it seems like alot it might not have as much as an impact as expected.
If you want more of a tang to its taste, why not just lessen the amount of sugar?

I think you should make both, stick them in a thermos and overnight them to my house and I will test them and tell you which one is yummier.

The same process will work for any cookies you'll be making...I think you should make cookies right now by the way.

I've been playing with banana chips in the dehydrator these recent days.

They're unusually sweet, without having to add any or much sugar (dipped in lemon juice before drying)

Yet tart enough to easily lend themselves to an alcohol cocktail.

I'm thinking...ice cubes made of re-hydrated and re-constituted banana chips in slushy form with a fair measure of vodka... possibly more lemon or lime juice added.

Personally I suppose I would prefer having a drink a little to sweet as opposed to one that doesn't taste as well...my opinion...you could always cut back the sugar a little by your own tastes.

I'd say the second recipe, the first one mixes too many juices into it (makes it a fruit slush, not a rhubarb slush), and I reckon vodka would be the way to go in terms of having an accompanying taste.

Just try a cup and a half of sugar to begin with and if its still to sweet for your taste then go with a cup....you can always add sugar but ya can't really take it away.
