Girls, help me out.
How important is it to be able to brag about your boyfriend to your girlfriends. I mean, if you were seeing a guy who you thought was perfect, but you knew in your mind that your friends were thinking "what is she doing with him--that's a guy I would never want to date", would you dump him? I guess it depends to some extent on the girl and her internal strength. Do girls need to know that their man is a catch?
I really don't give 1 shit nevermind 2 shits about what my friends think of my guy. Unless of course I'm an idiot who is notorious at picking losers repeatedly. And my strength on that point would be tremendous.
Having been with my embarrassing ex for an entire decade, I can say that for me, it's very important to be with someone that doesn't elicit scorn (for him) and pity (for me) from my friends. There's only so much of that a girl can take.

I feel no need to brag about a partner - so long as he knows he is important to me that is all that matters.
I've never been a one to care what other people thought. If I approve, that is all that matters.
