How to get a shy, reserved guy to like me???

I need help with something. There is a shy, reserved guy that I like a lot. We get along alright. But - I want him to see me as more than a friend, but I want to do so and not make it look like I want him. If I'm obvious about my crush and let him know I like him, I could endanger our friendship.

I just want to find a way to make him notice me a little differently, that way I will know it is safe to show my liking of him a bit more. I don't want to do anything that will make him think I have a crush on him. I don't want to scare him back into his shell.

The thing is, dating and girls is not on his mind. He's not like other guys. He's very proper, polite and gentlemanly. He's probably never watched porn or looked at a swimsuit magazine in his life (he's not gay lol I know this).

He's a really sweet guy... But, I KNOW he doesn't see me as anything other than a good friend because he doesn't seek me out. He has never called unless it regards business, never messaged me, never sent me an email or anything on his own initiative. It's always ME who contacts him first.

And when we ARE together, it's just as friends. We talk, laugh and our energy together feels great.... But it's just friendship for him.

Do you guys have any good tips for me to try and find out if it is even possible for him to like me more?

If I try it and it doesn't work, that's OK. I'm "OK" staying friends if that's what he truly wants. Remember, I'm looking for a way to find out if he can like me before I even show him I like him as more than a friend. He can't know intil I'm sure it won't ruin us. I want to handle this with care.

I just want to test him before I let him know. Just to be safe with our hearts.

P.S. if it helps, he seems more interested in his work at times... How can I make him WANT to talk to me (without putting on a false personality. I want to be myself and not pretend just so he likes me) and stop what he's doing?

Ok, Seems to me he is very gentleman type of guy. I guess he is in some kind of shielding and you have not made him come out of it yet. Get his confidence. Let him speak his heart. Be patient. You can do following things in order to get into his mind.
a) Tell him that he is special to you.
b) Talk to him everyday.
c) If you both live alone, then go to early morning to his house and spend whole day with him in his house.[Its Better than a Date. :)]
d) If it rains tell him that you feel quite a bit horny in rain. See if he responds back.
e) Give him massage or let him give you massage. Both ways body touch is gonna make him realize how badly he needs you.
f) Oh yeah, work. He looks like quite a workoholic. Take dinner to his house for once and see if it makes him feel something for you.
g) Last but not the least. Be supportive. You are dealing with a guy who is shy and reserved.

Oh yeah one more thing. Tempt him.. More..

I can agree with some of your advice but.... Call him and tell him I feel horny?? I can't do that. Remember, I'm trying to get him to show that he likes me without me giving myself away. I don't want us to have an uncomfortable friendship of I find out he's totally uninterested in me romantically.

How about just asking this guy on a "date". Wear the boots just to get things rolling. He'll know you are interested if you let him know it was a date, and you can check out the chemistry there :) Gl

Seems that you are somewhat deluded. I dont believe he never watched porn. Every guy has done it at some point.

what I know and have seen of him, he's.... Well, maybe reading some Victorian literature will help you understand that kind of man a little better. It is possible for men not to watch it/seek it out. You have to understand, his parents were raised by people who lived during the third reich - and he was raised by them. That's why he is the way he is. It's the environment/culture he grew up in. Very old fashioned.

And I have a question for you - why did you choose to respond to the least crucial aspect? You didn't help or make any kind of productive statement.

I just want to say that just go to him and tell him how you feel but choose the right words. This is the best way to approach a guy who is shy and reserved. I'm sure about this because I am a shy reserved and I grew up in a VERY old fashioned way. Show him that you care about him, show him that you're not looking for a **** but for love! That seems like the best action I can take. I'll wait a little bit, and then talk to him and tell him how I feel. I'm just so scared of rejection. He means a lot to me.

Any advice one what I should say? I have my own, but feedback is welcome!
