I need some advice! I am going mad it's weird.. (quite long)

So it's July and about 5 days till my birthday (that is kinda irrelevant)
There has been a big sward of exchange students coming to our
school from Germany, Spain, Brazil & France etc. etc.
All the boys are good looking, well most of them and all the
girls are falling for the Spanish ones and the ones I don't
seem too attracted to. I had 6 exchange students including
girls walk into my drama last week, all the guys were quite
gorgeous, but then I saw one of them for the first time and
I forgot all the others almost immediately (despite the fact
they are pretty scrumptious). ;)
I feel like I have fallen for him, almost like a love at first sight
scenario and I tried to impress him, i'm a bit of perfectionist
so recently I have been maintaining my appearance and
everything. Recently, we had a drama trip and he came along
with the classes and I introduced myself and showed him my
singing (cuz I sing), he seems really shy and everything but
his english is very good. He is absolutely dazzling to me,
dark blonde hair, tall, green eyes and slightly tanned and
I cannot take my eyes off him. He is from Stuttgart, Germany.
He is quite friendly and on the bus to the theatre and on the
way back I spoke to him a bit and I sent him a note saying
"You are very beautiful", he kind of brushed it off cuz I had
only just introduced myself and I kind of regret jumping forward
that fast. I compliment him quite often though but he doesn't
take it in a really good or really bad way. He kind of just seems
a bit distant after that. I know quite a bit about him and we exchanged
numbers and I'm desperate to get money to text him. He is possibly
moving out of my drama class and doing something else. He mentioned
trying to get into some of my subjects so he can see me, well I'm not
sure if thats why he wants to see if he can take anything the same as me.
He is here for one whole year and he is two years younger than me.
I have been going mad and constantly thinking bout him, he doesn't
talk so much, i spoke to him on facebook about a few hours ago
and he barely replied and he left without saying a word. I think
he has an idea I like him a bit, not sure, he seems very smart and mature
for his age (slightly miserable sometimes telling by his face). He loves our
country and everything and seems to settle in well. i'd love to know
what he thinks of me, I know I seem obsessive but I really feel strongly
towards him, it's like a serious crush! I thought of him for hours while
listening to soppy music last night. I'm quite a hopeless romantic
but I have really been trying to impress him and everything. He seems
to like me but I dunno if he'll ever take a chance on me. Does anyone
have any idea how I could maybe attract him a bit more. I know I need
to calm down a bit haha, Cuz I haven't felt so starstruck in a while..

If it all works out, are you prepared for a long distance relationship? If you are, I hope both of you are mature enough to keep it together. If it doesn't work out, it would be quite painful for you, if you're really a hopeless romantic. I was a hopeless romantic before. and 99% of my relationships are all LDRs (yeah, I'm weird that way) so, basically I know how it feels. Just try to build on a lot of stuff while he's still there and hope that the foundations are strong enough to withstand an LDR. You should put your mindset that he's from somewhere else, that would make transition of him going back home a little easier on the heart. Both of you needs to put in a lot of commitment and extra hard work to make it through. Otherwise, forget it, you'll end up screaming in pain. Good luck! :)

YOu think he seems to like you? By what? Nothing I read there seems to reciprocate any sort of interest on his part. He isn't chatty, isn't forward and hasn't made ANY pass at you at all. Even IF you did something drastic to score him nothing will ever come of this. You are forward and outgoing he is super shy and introverted. It won't work for any reason other than potentially awesome sex (unelss that's all your after) IN which case you wear something to show your cleavage and come onto him hardcode.

I'm agreeing with girl68 on this. Perhaps you may want to guide the plane in for landing with ground crew and lots of lights.

At least he's more like your own age.

sorry sapphire but i dont think he's that into you. if you're just in it for the fun stuff then your forward attitude is good. if u want something long term, you should probably take it slow. LDR's are hard but if you think he's worth it then go ahead.

P.S: im personally offended that you dont think spanish guys are hot (just kidding) :)

I agree with some of the previous posts.. I dont think he is into you. A guy who likes a girl will show it in some way.. by engaging her in conversation when and if he has the chance to for example. He is here as a foreign exchange student and will be gone in a year- he probably is not even entertaining the idea of picking up a gf while he is here.

And- I know what you mean about German guys... hot!

Yes well he has been contacting me lately, so all of that crap bout him not liking me doesn't seem to be true.
He told me he missed me when he wasn't in drama and also invited me out with him

And i love spanish guys its just when I saw the German I immediately forgot they existed

well then if he seems interested then you guys should hang out, meet up. if you really like him, take it slow. you won't get anything by rushing into things. dont forget the fact if you do get together, how will you work it out when he leaves.

It's always possible that he's just shy and inexperienced in having intimate or romantic relationships,
I know what it feels like when you're in love , all you want to do is spend every single moment with the person you have a crush on and that's great, but you have to remember that sometimes men can feel intimidated when a woman comes on too strong.

Sometimes things have there own pace and speed and believe me, he knows you like him.
So take it easy, slow down and if it's meant to be it will happen exactly the way you want it too.
