And I loved you, but you'll never know how much,
For the long miles between us, kept us so out of touch.
I don't remember the first time I meet you, nor when you first said my name,
We were simply near each other, I overlooked you and you did the same.

But you came when I was lost, walked by my side; you knew what to do,
And I talked and talked and talked; for there was something about you.
The time past slowly I lived for the next time you'd call,
Until then I only had your memory to which I could crawl.

Your voice was that of dream, as gentle and as beautiful as sleep,
The pain disappeared in washing whispers, you where the prefection I did keep.

Then you forgot me, didn't return my calls,
silken words through the nights, I questioned their flaws.
If had I not been blinded by you I would have seen it come,
You where fixed in your own security, but outside you I had none.

If I had of watch you with others, and instead of trying to believe it would be me,
I could have seen the heart of stone, that I now see.

No not cruel, but neglectful; so I pray time will bring someone new
