"I really like you and thats why we can't be physical again"

So long story short I've been dating this girl for a couple of weeks. I like her a lot but not enough to say I am sprung or heart broken. We started off as friends (only knew each other 5 months) and a few weeks ago got pretty physical pretty fast. Last night she basically tells me she likes me and wants to keep me in my life because she respects me so much but we can't be physical anymore because she is afraid of losing me and right now all she wants is just non committal affairs but not with me anymore because she wants to keep me... Did I miss something? Its like she is saying "I just want you to bonk my brains but I can't have it with you because I want to keep you." Any advice?

I don't blame her. Sex with the wrong person can ruin a good relationship. I guess the point is - you have to convince her you are the RIGHT person to take a chance on.

... How do I convince her I am the right person to take a chance on? If I'm there for her she will try to put me on the friend-shelf. I've watched how easily and quickly she responds to general douchy-ness. She seems to want to be spun up and do the guys who treat her like crap...
