First step
When you through a broken heart, the first thing to do is to accept it completely.
The pain you have resists and hurts because you don't let the experience go. The best exemple I have is this one;
You hold a barbed chain and at the end of this chain there is a heavy iron ball. So you let the chain go bit by bit and the chain tears your hand because of the weight of the ball. The pain is long and terrible. But what about open your hand? If you open your hand you won't feel the suffering of the barbed chain and the ball will go inevitably on the ground.
A heart break is the same thing. What hurts the most is your control and all the energy you put to keep the relation when obviously, there is no more relation.
Accept it and we will talk about the second step.

I think you should learn how to meditate..that was the single most valuable skill I learned when I was going through a tough breakup. It can also help with all facets in your life.

I am absolutely agree with that, it's what I do and it helps so much to focus on myself and what I feel , because it's the only thing that matters; what we feel inside.
