My Wife Wants Me To Meet The Couple That She Had A Threesome With

My wife and I have been married for just over a year now. About 4 years before we met she had a threesome with a married couple from work. It happened 4 times in one summer and she was sexually involved with both the man and woman during the threesome.

I am fine with the fact that she did it as we all have pasts and I can't control what she did before we met. I don't agree with it but that is just my opinion.

Anyways, she is still good friends with the couple and she wants me to meet them. Nothing of a sexual nature has ever happened since and she isn't into that kind of stuff anymore. The couple also moved to Arizona just after and we live on the other side of the country.

It was just a summer of experimenting for her. I have no problem with what she did and I don't have a problem with them being friends either. I problem I have is that I don't want to meet them under any circumstances. They want to come visit in January and I really don't want to. My wife is really angry with me and doesn't understand that I just don't want to meet them. I wish she wasn't friends with them but I can't tell her who to be friends with. That's her choice as an individual.

I'd like to get the perspective of both women and men so please feel free to comment and let me know if I am wrong or if it's normal that I don't want to meet them. I can look past everything else but I just don't want to meet them.

Awkward. I can understand why your wife is still friendly towards them, even if she isn't into that kind of kink anymore. And I can totally understand why you don't care to meet them. It's healthy to acknowledge that your wife had a past and that's it all in the past, but you shouldn't be forced to deal with it in the present tense. And as your wife, it would be nice if she displayed some concern and consideration for your feelings about an awkward situation. But she's more focused on her own feelings. Given the situation, I don't think it would unfair for you to try for some kind of compromise. Is this going to be a short visit? Are they planning to stay at your house? Though uncomfortable, it would probably be better if they stayed at your house, so that nobody involved got the idea that there might be another threesome during their stay. If they stay at a hotel and you avoid them, that could leave you feeling anxious when your wife is visiting them at the hotel.

Well she should be able to understand you not wanting to meet them. But as for me, I don't really get why you have such a big problem with meeting them. I have met past sexual partners of both my exes (while we were still together) when they were still friends and I had no trouble with that. Maybe it's because I have had sex with people and remained just friends afterwards, even the sexual attraction disappeared after a while, I seem to not be able to be attracted to close friends.
Do you have problems with this because you don't agree with threesomes (why not is that, if I may ask?), the fact that your wife had f/f sex, or that she's friends still with previous sexual partners? If you know why it bothers you so much you could be able to talk to her better about this, and if you do that and she's still angry, then she's being unreasonable.

I appreciate your comments. I've explained how I feel but she doesn't understand and disagrees with my decision. I don't disagree with a threesome I think I disagree more with the fact that the couple were married and it makes me feel uncomfortable. For some reason I have no problem meeting an ex of hers but this situation makes me feel really weird about the situation.
