I have trouble relating and getting along with others. I think choking is funny and I'll have my little sister prank call businesses and talk in this grandpa voice. To sum it up I'm weird. I need help getting over this weird stuff so whenever I go on a date I won't be dying of hysteria when my date coughs (that makes me laugh... cuz it reminds me of choking).
I lack social skills, how do I get on the road to being able to communicate effectively with people?
Well first of all you need to grow up. Growing up takes time, and I feel you most certainly need a few more years of growing up to do before you start dating. I think you seriously need to get into doing more positive activities like play sports or join a club at your school. Being around a group will help you learn to interact sufficiently on a social level and give you the opportunity to meet and talk with girls.
On another note maybe you could use some therapy for your anxiety and most disturbingly for your fascination with choking.....could be an precursor to being a sociopath.

I suggest seeking help from an NLP Coach or attending an NLP Practitioner course. Just make sure the coach/trainer is licensed by Richard Bandler, the co-creator of NLP.
