Valentines card words advice. please.

Hi there people.

I just writing out my girlfriends valentines card and i want some advice to whether i should write what i've though to write. i'm not sure if its too.....soppy. any advice would be appreciated.

With everyday of having you in my life everything has gradually lost its lustre.

It's not because things aren't as good as they once were, but because nothing could ever seem as special as it they once were in comparison to you.

Not even the brightest stars can shine as much as you do...

is there any grammar problems you notice, or ways in which it could sound better?
