I need womans perspective on what My best friend is thinking!

Alright, here I go:

So a while back, I told my best friend I loved her, blah blah, and all that but she didn't feel the same way. She was really shocked because we had been best friends since grade 5 and she just saw me as a friend. Probably still only sees me as a friend.
I know that part, but what I don't understand is, she always has boyfriends, so I give her space, let her do her thing, but I guess I "drift" away from her as I do that.

I tried just backing off for about 4 days, and she got really upset and was considering even breaking up with her boyfriend. She told me she liked him but he wasn't worth losing me.

I get that but maybe its cause I'm just a really good friend? But then when ever she has a boyfriend, just after 3-4 weeks, she has to think about whether she has feelings for him or not. She's done that about 3 times already.
At times, I just want to get out of her life cause I know i'll never be able to get over the "crush" I have on her, and I tend to cause lots of drama for her. She always fights with her boyfriends cause of me.

She tells me she NEEEDS me in my life. Like if I'm an absolute must to her life.
I'm just confused, is there any hope? (I doubt it, but the fact she can never be sure if she has feelings for her boyfriends, kinda confuses me).


What should I do?
Should I just grow a set, and move on haha (I'm leaning towards this, but the fact is, I might have
true feelings for her. I flirt with other girls and etc, get on them on weekends, but deep down inside none of that makes me happy.)


Most of her boyfriend experiences, she doesn't even talk to her boyfriends after they break up. So maybe the thought of loosing me if she gave me a shot and then we broke up?



This might be the girl, I have true unconditional feelings for, and I don't mean that in any corny way at all.

You have to let her know where you stand, and that you can't be her emotional replacement every time she isn't going out with someone, because that is what this is all about. Emotional attachment. It is not being in love, it's a dependency. Dude the reality is she isn't going to date you. You need to grow some and cut the emotional ties. Once you let go there will be a girl out there that will finally have a chance with you and make you happier that this friend. But it won't happen unless you do let go.I'm not talking complete cut off but stop hanging out together, just chat once in awhile and leave it at that.

i KNOW she won't ever see me that way but its just the thought kinda keeps coming back to it.

I tried letting go aand doing my own thing but within a week, she already got upset that I tried leaving and stopped talking
to her lots.

I kinda had a feeling about just being emotional attachments, cause thats what we've ever been, nothing more.
I thought maybe she was just unsure of if she had feelings for me, but I can't just be that "guy" for her.
I wanted something more, but I realized that when I was in to deep in being friends with her.


How should I slowly get outta that stage? and just be friends?

You can't. You need to hang out with dudes and look for girls you like to have as a GF. You will increase your chances of finding a GF that way. Tip: Don't have girls as friends. You sound like the type that also gets too emotionally attached.......it just makes things too difficult.
