If I maintain a job during and after marriage, will I end up in poverty after divorce

This is a question I have been thinking. If I could maintain a job (p/t) during marriage, and if anything wrong happens during marriage, and divorce is inevitable, will I still end up in divorce?

Just a job to sustain myself and provide for myself so that in face of any disasters, I can still be myself and will not be forced to do something I don't want to do or compromise something I don't want to compromise. Will just a little p/t job be enough while I am still not financially secure now?

I will be working to sustain myself only. And I also look forward to working to sustain myself only. If there is a need to pool together resources, I will do that. But I doubt he needs any pooling from me as he is very financially secure.
