I love this girl soooo much, but I want her to feel the same about me

Ok, so I know this girl for almost 2 years now and she comes to the same college as me and I see her mostly everyday. Her mates are the same as mine, and we laugh and joke together and have fun. My mates have known her for longer and are obviously more closer to her, she hugs, kisses and plays around with them more, and to me its mostly just a hug. Ive fallen for her because of her personality and her childish and bubbly character but for me to become one of her best mates is quite hard, as im just a 'quiet' and 'cute' freind to her. Im very open to her and I care for her alot, but in a situation such as e.g. me and her hugging, if one of my mates comes to say 'hi' she would hug him tight, kiss him and joke. I obviously feel some jelously but knowing that its one of my mates I cant do much to stop her to do that stuff to me. I would speak to her one to one saying how much I really like her, but its awkward because I dont think she feels the same way as I do to her than she does to me. She's more quiet than playful to me and I want that to change to build our freindship as we are gonna know each other for quite long. People say I should drop the line and ask her to go out with me, but it wont feel right as mine and her mates are more closer to her at the moment as theyve known each other for longer. We've talked about nearly all the topics such as hobbies, freinds etc but it doesnt seem to make a difference.

I just want some advice about what to do to make this change happen,
how can I build her trust towards me?
how can I make her more childish and fun towards me?
and how can I make her love me?

She probably doesn’t even know you exist on that level.

You can only be you. Maybe she likes you maybe she doesn’t.

Your best bet is to just ask her to something. i.e. "Hey, I've got an extra ticket to "insert event here" would you want to go with me?"

That way you get to know her better.

One more thing, you've not fallen for anything but lust. Start thinking with the head on your shoulders not the one in your pants.

We're not a genie in a bottle. You can't make anyone love you. She'll come closer to you only when she choose to. If you really like this girl and want to get close to her you'll need to earn her trust. How? That's for you to find out and do. Maybe start by sharing some funny incidents that happened to you with her. This usually works for me. I reckon she's gonna open up only half as much you do. You could later even share some of your little secrets with her. If you show her you trust her she may trust you more. As for love that will take time. Get to know her more hang out. And you'll know when's the right time to ask her out. You shouldn't rush into it. She may or may not love you but you can do your part.
And try not to become just a friend to her if you want romance out of it. Flirt with her sometimes so you don't shock her when you ask her out.

Ask her if she has a boyfriend. She will probably ask why your are asking. Tell her you want to take her out on a date.

If she does have a BF, say he is a lucky guy, and that the second he forgets that, she should let you know about it.

It is simple and to the point. Be prepared for an answer you may not like, but at least you will know.
