Why is she doing this to me?

Hello.. There is this girl and we were good friends, but recently she has ignoring me.. I had a crush on her but never told her.. few weeks ago, this other guy asked her out and she said yes.. that day i felt horrible and the more i thought i realized i should tell her how i feel about her.. anyways i told her that, "i had a small crush on her and it was just something stupid." and now she seems to be ignoring me.. wont reply to my text/facebook/ and i haven't seen her in the last few days, so i couldn't talk to her in person.. anyone know why she is doing this? should i just let her go? After thinking for sometime i realized i should let her go and only talk to her when she talks to me? what do you guys or ladies think? Do Girls usually do these things? Few days after i told her about how i feel, she broke up with that other guy but she still hasn't texted/facebook/called me since then and i haven't been to school in a while so i couldn't talk to her in person either.. What should i do? Does she hate me? :(

It's because you told her that having a crush on her was "just something stupid". Really? You wanted a girl you have a crush on to think that YOU think that it's stupid to feel that way about her? Duh... why not just tell her she's ugly and fat while you're at it?

It's either that, or she doesn't feel that way about you, and now is feeling awkward and doesn't know how to talk to you about it. Either way, you're kind of hosed.
