Last Chance?

Hey guys, first time posting here. I'll try to be concise.

So there's this girl that I've been seeing casually - not dating - for a few weeks now, and it has become increasingly clear to me that I have feelings for her and would like to pursue a relationship with her. We got together last night and through conversation with one of her roommates I found out that she has feelings for another guy. Needless to say, I was a little heartbroken, but still determined. I'm seeing her again tonight, and I am thinking that this might be my last chance to take things one step further, even if I am unsuccessful.

Despite hearing this disappointing news, her roommates still hint at her possible attraction to me, which is reassuring. Still, I don't know in which direction her feelings lie.

My thought is this: before I lose her to this guy, I should at least tell her how I feel about her and tell her that I would like to pursue a relationship with her, but if that's not possible then I will back away and let her date who she pleases.

I've never been in this situation before, so I would appreciate any advice. Is telling her this a good idea? If so, should I address that I know she may have feelings for someone else, or just ignore that tidbit? Should I ask her how she feels too or just put my feelings out there? Anything I should keep in mind?

So much for being concise :P

Why do all of these end in "I have to lay out all my feelings for her" or "I won't say anything."?

Can't you just ask the girl out?

Perhaps I'm just intimidated by the prospect of being rejected. Oh well, guess I'd better get over it :tough:

I've been rejected plenty of times. Now I"m used to it, and more confident than ever. So yes, tell her your feelings without scaring her to death. :)

Just out of curiosity, how would one scare another to death that way?

But seriously, anything to avoid mentioning or saying? This is a relatively new adventure for me.

At the ending of tonight, tell her in your own language that you have a crush on her and would like to go with her on a date next time. Make sure she understands that it would be a real date. If she accepts, you have a real date with this girl, if she waffles in any way, remain polite, end tonight like you always do and stop contacting her. If she contacts you, be polite, short and do not put any soul into your conversation. Do this for a few weeks, and than when she contacts you, bluntly again ask her out on a date where you name the activity, date, place and time. If she in any way waffles, stop contact with her all together.
