In any event, NO. This is not good. Tell her that she never involves her parents in your relationship again, or you're leaving her.
we are 21 and have been together 3 yers. And thats how my parents felt as well, that i cannot agree to a lecture from her mom...
nope I think he mother has to butt out. that would be like my boyfriends friend calling me to scold me. NOT COOL and I wouldn't stand for it. Now if your gf goes to her mother to talk, vent and get advice that's totally different from mommy coming to lecture you.
If her mom is fighting her battles for her, she needs to grow up.
In my opinion, it depends. If the mom has already discussed the issue with the girl, then I don't see why she couldn't talk to the boy as well, but in a family counseling type of way with all present; even if she also talks to the boy separately at some point, hopefully prior to the "family" meeting. It would be hoped that the mom could facilitate the meeting and make sure it stays civil and that all parties are able to get their point across, hopefully, to their satisfaction, otherwise any discussions at all may not be productive or useful. If the mom can do that, then, sure, why not; otherwise I would probably not recommend her mom hold her own inquisition without a "license".Quote:

The fact that you are both adults means that you should handle the arguments yourself. Her mom is probably just trying to protect her daughter, but it is not her place to butt in like that. Your girlfriend might not even know about her mom doing that, so don't hold your girlfriend to blame for her mom's actions. But be sure to let her know that any fighting between the two of you can be handled by the two of you only.
