What do I say so I don't sound like a duck?

So first off I definitely meant to say dick, not duck in the title. Stupid auto correct on my phone...

I'm 19 and home on break from college

I met a girl at the park i work at. Her and her 2 female friends asked me to take a few pics of them and I did. I didn't really talk much or start a convo. That was the first time good looking girls had been in the park, but I couldn't strike up a convo or anything. My friend/ coworker told me one of the girls used to go to school (high school) with us and he was friends with her on Facebook. So we had the incredible idea of me messaging her on Facebook that I found a ring at the park and was wondering if her or one of her friend had lost a ring Just so I could start conversation with her. So I did, i ended up getting her phone number and we have been texting for like 6 days. I asked her out and she said she wasn't sure because she barely knew me. She said she will go once she gets to know me better. So i said that's cool, i understand, I'll take u out after we get more familiar with each other. But I'm always the one texting her and starting the convo. She will be talkative and stuff but when I ask her questions she hardly ever asks like how about you, or anything like that. So I feel like I'm just getting played but she told me she is a girl that didn't play games and is a straight forward girl. It bothers me that she never texts me. I waited 2 days before to text her and I also didn't text her yesterday in hopes that she may text me, but it didn't happen. I have also told her if that she isn't interested, she can just tell me and she said lol I know. Whenever I ask her if she just wants to hangout, she is always busy, which I can understand that could be true because her parents force her to watch her brother's baseball games and stuff. She just isn't putting in an effort to hangout or get to know me. I wanna send her a text something along the lines of I feel like she isn't trying to know me and I don't feel like getting played, I just wanna know if there could ever be anything, if not, to just let me know. What should i tell her? So i don't waste all my time on this girl

Instead of texting her anything else just don't text her at all. If she is interested in you at all, she'll wonder why you haven't shown her any interests and she'll contact you. In the meantime forget she exists. I'm not telling you to fade away as a game, I'm telling you to actually forget her and don't hope or wait around. There are women out there that will actually be excited to hear from you. She's not one of them though.

i understand that. that if there is any interest, she would text me. but me being who i am, im gonna be stupid and text her probly today, havent talked to her since tuesday. i know u guys might say that it isnt true and blah blah blah, but she is definitely outta my league, she is smokin!!! she says she isnt into herself and stuff, but im pretty sure she knows and thinks she is hot stuff. she was actually at the park where i work watching her little brothers baseball game yesterday. i saw her, and pretty sure she saw me, she put no effort in coming over to say hi or anything. i probly woulda went over to say hi, but her dad was standing over her the whole time and i didnt wanna talk to her while her dad was around, kinda intimidating lol. i know im not supposed to text her but i will today, i think im gonna try inviting her somewhere

She's not interested in you. Stop holding onto hope that she is.

this is why she doesn't show effort... she doesn't need to! you come running after her regardless. Why should she text you? You always seem to do all the work so why not just let you continue?

You're just another guy that doesn't get it unfortunately. But you're right on one account she for sure knows she's good looking, so when you stop putting her on a pedestal she *may* come and hunt you down but until you actually give her the space to, forget it.

i actually really do understand it. but im dumb and stubborn. she said she is a straight forward girl and doesnt play games and all that. would sending her a text laying it all out (being straight forward) be a good idea? well i know it isnt a good idea to contact her at all, but if i was to, because i dont have it in me to not text her, maybe laying it out may be the best thing to do, right under not contacting her at all? maybe sending a text like:

hey, ur obviously not interested, but im showing my stubbornness that ive told u about, ur letting me come to u and making me look like a fool, but might as well go for broke. im doing such and such, u should come with.

or something along those lines?

No, don't do that. Move on. I hate to say it but you are making a fool of yourself. She isn't interested.

The only way it will ever happen is if you stop contacting her and just live your life. You've been told this several times, but seem intent on ignoring it.

Also you keep sayng she doesn't play games and is straightforward like that means she would come out and tell you she isn't interested. Well, she doesn't approach you, she doesn't text you, she makes no effort to be in contact with you or acknowledge your existence when she sees you. So, no she doesn't play games, she is clearly letting you know she isn't interested.

i know i know, im stubborn, i come on here for help, but then usually dont use it. but ok, u guys win, i wont contact her. (hopefully, cross ur fingers) it just sucks that most girls my age are just as shallow as guys, please take no offence to that. i feel that men are shallow just because all they care about in females is looks and something to stick it in. and for females, my age at least, its the same thing and they just really like the attention they get from guys if they are even an ounce of good looking. i know that its not fair, y can guys only be in it for looks, but girls r supposed to be the ones that arent as concerned and look for whats on the inside, its a double standard

i forgot to mention, that when i asked her what she looks for in a guy, the first few things was that its best for him to be a football player to impress dad, and more jacked the better. im neither of those, and i told her that, i told her maybe i can be a change of pace and she agreed. she also told me her last 3 bf's were a running back, linebacker and quarterback. now that ive told u guys this, ur gonna really tell me to cut all ties because she is just shallow and not worth it, but like i said before, showing my shallowness as a guy, i just really think she is so beautiful, i cant just let it go. but unfortunately, she knws she is too, im sure she heres it all the time from other guys

You sound like a desperate ninny who has zero options in life. Why don't you get an abundance attitude instead of this "I'll never get anyone so I need to push myself on her" attitude?

You will be very unattractive to her if you keep at it when she's clearly showing you that you are'nt all that important to her in the grand scheme of her life.
