Girls, tell me what she may be thinking

Hello there

Few weeks ago we broke up after a 3 year relationship. That's because my now ex thinks that we don't really match together and that we cannot be together anymore, and she said that she just doesn't feel anything to me. I want her back and I told her I'll change, but she just not want to see me for at least half a year and when I asked her if we'll get together someday she says that who knows but most probably not. She just wishes to be friends after we we'll take a half a year or so break from each other.

So girls, what do you think? Do we still have a chance? Is it common that girls change their mind on things like that? How should I behave to get her back in a while? Also my buddy's girlfriend is one of the best friends of hers, and she will shurely tell my ex everything about my behavior, and all the actions I make, so she will know even if we won't meet. Also she told me that she does not want me to fight for her beacause it won't work. Also I bet that making friends with her is also a step backward for our further possible relationship, should I tell her that we shouldn't be friends?

I really want her back and I can wait for it. It's my first so long relationship, and I just don't know how such a situation might probably end, and what my ex may be thinking.

I have to agree with Vanessa the lets be friends line doesnt work you cant be friends with her and keep your dignity im sorry to lose your first love is terribly hard but you will feel less hurt eventually give it time.I have never remained friends with a ex we just dont talk ... the only girls i have seen use this line are those who want a fall back if life doesnt go her way.Step back enjoy your life and keep good memories if you can.Yes your buds girl will tell her you have moved on but does that matter ??

Reading it from a guys perspective is just the same - there is nothing you said to even give you a shred of hope to save this relationship. She told you its over, doesn't want to see you, and has played the friend card to soften the blow. You unfortunately seem to think you will get her back, and this is your denial stage for the breakup. Once you get over this you can move through the rest of the stages and work towards healing.

So, you're all pretty sure that we won't get together eventually? Even after some break? So if she says we don't match it's definetly the end forever?

I went through a bad break up about two years ago. I had this thing in the back of my mind that we were going to get back together, we did. Then the next day, she broke up with me again. You have to learn to hate before you'll really learn how to love. Right now she has the upper hand. She knows you want her back. Don't give in delete her number out of your phone, even if you know it by heart, its the point that you wont see her name. Cut all ties with her. No friends no nothing. Act as if you are mad, and that you hate her. Then you will be able to handle it a little better. You're going to think about her and you're going to want to see and talk to her. Don't give in. Time is your best friend. I know how it feels. With me I could care less if I ever see my ex again. From time to time I see her, and we speak like adults, but that's as far as it goes.
