I just ended my first relationship with a girl who I was incredibly in love with. In the beginning everything was so amazing, it was electric. We were both so passionately in love with eachother. Unfortunately after 6 months we both knew things just weren't working out. But I still love and miss her. I'm confident that i will find love again I'm just not sure anything else will compare.
So my question is, are you still in love with your first? And did you ever feel the way i do now?
I think everyone goes through this... unfortunetly.. thats life.
You'll get over her. The first love is a big deal but once you start dating around, she'll eventually just be considered another ex-girlfriend.
I thought I never would. Now I am completely over her. Time will heal.
You do get over it.
But you never forget.
And that isn't necessarily a bad thing.

I will always love my first (8 years together). But we didn't work out. Yours is much shorter so I can't say what you should feel, but most of the time its just the understanding that the romantic relationship didn't work out.
You will get over her and you will heal. HIA is correct...it gets better. :) Loving is painful, but a learning experience that helps you find someone who suits you more appropriately than the last.
You don't ever forget your first love but you get over them. It ends because it's supposed to, and then you move on to someone that made you wonder what you ever saw in the last one.
No, I am not in love with my first love, and yes I did feel exactly like you.

You will look back one day and be glad this happened to you.
You will get over it quickly and find another one to fall head over heels in love. I got over mine very quickly, there was too much out there that interested me.Quote:

Simple analogy to think of. Think of your heart as a porcelaine vase, the first time it gets broken, you glue it back together. Everytime after that you're just putting broken pieces back where they belong, but if anyone ever asks how it got broken, you'll always remember the first time you had to pick up the pieces and put it back together.
But it does go back together, sometimes takes longer than others, and you do move on.
