Most girls like to receive flowers...what about the guy?

So...my guy goes out of his way to show me I'm important and special to him. He buys me flowers to cheer me up, or more recently, to celebrate my medical tests coming back clear.

He's had a pretty rough time recently finalising his divorce, and he's pretty down on himself. What little 'something' do guys like to receive? A material posession? Or something more personal, that we can do together or something? I want to buy him something, I just have no idea about where to even start...I know it depends alot on the kind of person he is and all. I'm just lost really!

We are going away for the weekend, leaving friday. He seriously needs to relax and just 'be'...any ideas on what I can do to spoil him and make him feel worthwhile again? We're pretty amazing together behind closed doors ;-) but it can't hurt to spice things up a little, right? What is something a little 'extra' a woman can do for her man to show she cares?

I would always say cook for him but that's probably not what you were thinking....

Does he have any kind of hobby? For instance one of my eyes was a F1/Ferrari fan and also collected miniature model cars so from time to time I'd get him something related to that.

I often cook for him - will be doing that this weekend anyway. I just want him to feel good about himself and to hopefully see why I adore him :)

I would say dress sexy for him and tell him this is about him and proceed to give him a bath then massage and gently kissing each part your hands have passed over, its a version of tantric sex without penatration so that its just not sex, use your imagination and keep as much from the full on as possible because if you have him totally relaxed and melting in your hands he will remember that more than the best sex that came after if you want, anyone can buy or cook etc but only you are able to make him feel this way in your private room.Lock your inabitions away and use your woman gifts to take all his stress.

Sexy lingerie, and do a nice show for him. Few guys will be opposed to that.
If you don't cook often, cooking might work.
Otherwise it probably comes down to something he loves. If he is a gamer and you know of a game he really wants, buy that for him. If he is a beer lover, buy him a set of special beers.

It doesn't have to be all personal. Flowers aren't exactly personal either. Just show him you pay attention to him and know what he likes.

The best thing is to just tell him.

You can go out of your way with the nice gestures, but make sure you also tell him how much he means to you.

Well, I hope it's not crude to say... but it's true. It's not the only thing we like, but we like them a lot. And if your intent is to focus on him and show him that you appreciate him, it's certainly one way to do it. Go above and beyond what you normally do in terms of duration, frequency, and, er, method, and I promise you that your attention and effort will be noticed and genuinely appreciated. It's not something that any (reasonable) guy can take for granted. And while it makes us feel good, it can also be very loving. Combine with Kyrina's suggestion, and you're set.

Unless the sexual gift is something very special, which I don't consider blowjobs to be, I'd much prefer a non-sexual gift myself.
