Completely Confused.

Hi guys.. I'll jump straight into it..

Basically, I'm confused with what's going on.
Start from the beginning. Three odd years ago Kallan and I started dating each other etc etc everything was fine 'til he had to move towns. See he used to live with his mother she was an abusive lady not to mention a police officer in my town. We tried to keep together via distance but we'd find the smallest things and argue over them. So we broke up and got back together multiple times, til once he cheated on me.. I mean, it was 'only' a kiss and it was the 'day before' we broke up for the what.. I'd say, 3rd time.. But continuing on he proceeded to have sex with the chick he "cheated" on me with, not that I'd really even call it that, but anyways.. Skipping a long list of bullcrap that you can imagine people go through.

Now we're both in the same City again and he's interested in getting back together and I'd be lying if I said I wasn't, because things between us are perfect when we're literally together.. Here's the part that confuses me.. I've been hanging out with one of my best friends of like 6/7 years who has moved to the city recently aswell, he has a girlfriend and I know her she's nice.. The other night I had him and another one of my mates over for drinks and poolgames.. I had the puppy on my lap and I was petting her, my friend of 6/7 years (Matt) started petting the dog too, and he slowly worked his way to playing with my fingers.. Hey, I'm not complaining I've always had a hidden thing for this guy.. But yeah - The puppy moved away a while after that and he continued to play with my hand affectionately.

I gave him the spare room and my other friend slept on the couch as soon as we all went to our beds my phone recieves a text message asking if I'm okay or tired. Blah blah blah, it was Matt. - He's like sneak up here and keep me company, I'm like, hey I have more blankies you sneak up here.. So he ended up coming to my room, and we just sat there in my bed reading jokes out of an adult joke book I had under my pillow, I'm pretty sure he kept making moves for my hand underneath the blanket but they were just out of his reach and he didn't want to seem too.. Idk.. Seem too.. ??? - Anyways, ended up turning the light off and just going to sleep next to each other, not hugging, not anything.. <!~~ What's that mean?!!

I'm completely torn between the two of them, I'm really keen to wait it out to see what happens with Matt, but I don't know what's going on with Kallan or if I can go there again..

You are interested in a guy who is not available. Unless he becomes available, stop pursuing him.

As far as the ex, things are not perfect when you are close together, you just ignore the things that are wrong for the more immediate concerns when you are together. There is a very good reason you have broken up multiple times and it has nothing to do with distance, his mom, or anything. It is because you and he are not good for each other.

So I suggest this - forget about both of these guys and start fresh with someone new. Make sure he is available before you start getting your hopes up though.

You are pursuing a man that has a girlfriend that you've met and you think she's nice even. Surely you're not that dense or without integrity that you couldn't put that and what I said together so that it made sense to you?

How would you feel if your boyfriend was sleeping in bed with a girl who had feelings for him. How would you feel when he left you for her? Grow up and don't make going after other women's men a hobby or you'll more than likely find yourself in a habitual "other woman" scenerio that will steal your self worth and joy.

You're young, don't make this kind of thing a pattern for you. Like Devon says, neither of these two "boys" seem like good matches for you. One you can't get along with and the other one is willing to cheat on his girlfriend to be with you (ugh.. no integrity). Find someone new and free to pursue.

I agree with Devon and Wakeup. Getting back with your ex shouldn't even be an option anymore unless you're ready for yet another break up. Will happen again. This other guy isn't as nice as you want to believe. A man willing to cheat on his gf is not a nice man. It doesn't matter if that man is Brad Pitt or someone you love or me.
