me and my ex-bf broke up about 3 weeks ago. He asked me not to contact him and blocked me basically on all sites, and in all possible ways so that i cannot contact him at all.
Obviously I get that he does not want to be in contact with me anymore, but am just wondering why exactly putting me on ALL ignore lists possible? Does it mean he hates me, finds me annoying? is angry at me? what do guys have in mind when they act like this?

It means he's trying to get over you. Did you initiate the break up?
My ex BF did the same thing. Haven't heard from him in 6.5 weeks and probably never will again. Suppose it is just easier.
I was angry at him, so I told him to basically to chose between me and something he had to do. he chose that thing and i said 'goodbye' but by later on that day ive realised i went too far and came back but by that time he blocked me everywhere and on the phone he said he has moved on and doesnt want anything anymore.
That's what happens when you dump a guy. Learn from it. And good luck with your next one.

it's called "No Contact" (NC for short) - it's a method commonly used when you want to get over someone as quickly as possible.
Getting over someone while remaining in contact with them is possible, but takes far longer, and can be painful. By blocking you, he's essentially saying "what doesn't exist can't affect me"
They likely have in mind that you are the type that doesn't give up and so he's blocked you from all fronts so that you get the hint that the relationship is over. Going no contact helps you and it helps him to get to the stage of indifference to one another so that you can move on to someone new with a clean mental and emotional state of being.Quote:

Look on the bright side: I'm thinking you're better off without each other if he's doing things you don't like to the point where you feel you have to make him choose between it and you.

Based on your behavior he has made a determination that there's something in your personality which he no longer wants to deal with, and he's wise enough to know that he can't expect you to change for him so it's easier to just cut all contact.Quote:

You tried to give him an ultimatum of ending the relationship over something that you now realize you were in the wrong about. He probably thinks that whatever led you to do this will keep leading you to do it in the future, or it's part of a spectrum of issues you have that manifest themselves in various ways and this one big blow up was just the final thing that sealed the decision for him.
As someone else said, it sounds like you were being controlling and manipulative, and he's not going to put up with it anymore.
He is angry with you. If I were him I'd be unhappy too. I'd leave my gf if she threatened to break up with me. He doesn't want to be in contact with you because it's over between you.Quote:
