Quick question

Hi everyone, I just have a quick question to ask.

I moved into a dorm yesterday with 3 other female roommates, and my (long-distance) boyfriend and I were chatting on Skype at night, and he asked me, "So are your roommates as pretty as you?"

I feel kind of confused because it seems like a compliment, but at the same time, why would he ask that question? Why does it matter to him if my roommates are attractive or not? I just feel kind of insecure about the whole thing. Am I making this into a bigger deal than it needs to be?

I believe it's just an innocent question and a compliment.

If he wanted to hook up with some other girl, it sure wouldn't be your roommates.

Yes, it is a compliment. He said it because he wanted to give you one. Or maybe he didn't have better things in mind to chat about.

Maybe he is thinking about a visit, possibly bringing a friend along. He might be asking not for himself.
