I'm 47 so I've been around the block and yet it's my experience that women are quite prepared to criticise their OH but can't take criticism themselves. Is that just my experience? Thoughts from women would be much appreciated.

What's "OH"?
I think most people - male OR female - find it difficult to be criticized. I only take it well when I know it is well-meaning, and coming from someone I respect.
Criticized, mm depends by whom,if my other half (OH) was to do this then i would listen, however when men tend to do it they do it often in anger and then its a case of being able to aim it back at them and rip it apart.
From another woman well yea if i respect her but i tend to find few i respect.
I find it difficult, but so does he. I try to state mine in a way that is kind, and from the heart and not mean spirited. He does the same. Often it takes 'my pride' a short while to recover, but I usually do in just a short while.
And in my experience, men take criticism no better than women.
If it's constructive criticism from someone who loves and respects me, I can take it just fine. If it's done in a derogatory way, that's only going to make me want to 'hit' back with criticism toward them. Learn to do it with love and caring.
Yup women are way more sensitive. You can't be blunt, but there are other creative ways to approach a woman to avoid them being offended.
It's definately about how it's given. If done in a respectful, gentle manner with no anger, then I will take it on board. If a man gives me criticism in response to me criticising him or done in anger I'd likely be offended.
Ya and hopefully see the difference between being abusive and actually giving ctriticism.
I'm able to, as long as it isn't related to my appearance. I do always try to look my best.
Can MEN take criticism? =)
Sure. But we dont have to. We are always right ;)Quote:

*glances over love forum posts by men*
hm... whatever you say!!! :-P
Unstable, insecure people find it hard to be criticized. The deeper the insecurity, the more sensitive they are to it. Stable, secure people have no problem with it.
Try to make your criticism non-personal, or as a suggestion. Instead of "Phew! Did you forget to take a shower?" try "Hey love muffin. I like you better after a shower, honey."
Lol! I thought I was wrong one time, but I was mistaken.Quote:
