How do I find "the one" to share my life with?

I'm 40 years old now, and divorced for 5 years.

I'm at peace with the divorce and have moved on. I'm now ready to find "the one" to share my life with...

The question is - how?

I'm not very outgoing. I experience a lot of social anxiety.

I'm not very good at meeting new people.

Even if a woman was sitting next to me waving her arms trying to get my attention, I probably wouldn't notice... or worse yet... I would freak out.

I know what I don't want, and I guess that's a start.

I'm caught between low self-confidence and a fear of being alone for the rest of my life.

I'm not a bad looking guy, and I'm in pretty good shape physically.

However, I'm really out of shape in the love department.

Please help.
