Please read this and give some advice

Okay so I am a college student around 20 years old and I am very close with my parents. Over the past year they have been fighting a lot and my mom even said she was going to move out a couple times. She always ended up clearing her head and going back and being happy again. I think she is going through menopause and so she keeps having crazy mood swings. I know they are perfect for each other that's why I don't understand why this is happening and it just gets me so upset. She called me today and said she is moving out for good and so she took some of her stuff and went to my grandpa's house and said my dad doesn't love her anymore. But when I talked to my dad he said he didn't say that. I think this is just one of her mood swings but I am just worried about her. I just don't understand how 25 years of marriage can just fall apart when I know the two are most happy when they are together. It just gets me so upset and it's so hard being away from them. I just don't know what to do either. I am worried what holidays and everything are going to be like. My older brothers have their own lives now and don't seem worried about this and I just feel so miserable. Does anyone have experience with their parents divorcing? And this just makes me never want to get married if everything turns out so badly. I just feel so helpless and hopeless..

There's really not much you can do for them, though. They are adults and can make their own decisions, even if you think they are making mistakes. And you have to remember that relationships always look different to outsiders. You probably don't know all the details or how they act with each other when they're alone together. Be very careful not to pick sides or get caught up in their personal business, and don't be their go-between or the person that they each vent to. That's not healthy for you, and it's not your place to be that person. Don't make their problems become your own problems. You basically need to wash your hands of it and let them handle it on their own.

If they decide to end it completely, it's not the end of the world. You'll all adjust. It might be awkward for a time, but hopefully everyone will remain civil and things will work themselves out.
