does't want me to be with him tonight

My bf friend invited me to a birthday party at a club. My bf is also going to be at this club working. He has a tv show that he is going to be filming at this party. I asked my bf if he wanted me to come only because i know he is going to be filming there and that it is his friend. He stated that "its a trick question b/c if he says no i would be hurt and he feels that he want to be somewhere where i won't watch his every move". I feel i was hurt because he may be there flirting with other women and doesn't want me there. I feel like i should trust him but still feel hurt. I like the fact that we can tell each other how we feel but i still feel a little hurt. Am i wrong about feeling this way?
