I didnt give a gift!
Hello all,
My question is this:
I got an invite to a close mates, daughters baptism. I am single and 32, and did not know if i should have given a present. It would of felt kind of weird giving a card, or buying some sought of girls baby clothing. Isnt that the girls job? Anyway, i ended up not buying anything and now i feel kind of bad. Should i have gotten them something, or isnt it a big deal. It was over three months ago, should i still think of giving them a gift, or is it too late.
Any thoughts would be appreciated.
Thanks.

Dude, being single and 32 everything is your job. How can you suggest that buying gifts is a girls job? Do you not wash your clothes or dishes because that is traditionally a girls job?
Yes you should have taken a gift. Babies toys are appropriate presents for baptisms/ naming days etc so you don't have to worry about having to buy baby girl clothes.
If you still feel bad, pick her up a token gift. Let your mate know it's a belated one and there you go.

Not a big deal. Just bring a small gift the next time you visit. They aren't your friends b/c of your gifts (I hope).
