Just thought I'd take a sneak peek... haven't stopped by in over a year. The site looks nice - different, but nice. And a hello to anyone who recognizes me.
Amazing how time flies when you're busy.

Hi, I am sure I am a newbie to you, but I just wanted to say, I love your sig. Another timely message, 2 in 1 morning. Something must be going right for me today. :-)
Hi Dalia, good to see you back. How have you been?
Not too bad. Been mostly working, going to school, and throwing a little money toward therapy. Was finally correctly diagnosed with PTSD - not bipolar... so no more medications, which has been a great relief. Depression improved with REBT and some bit of support here and there. Doesn't mean I've reached the utopian version of my life, but it's definitely better than it has ever been thus far.Quote:

The single life has been nice, but since I've become a little more stable as of late (as well as exercising, rebuilding a nice warddrobe, and actually putting some effort into my appearance), I've been a little more interested in meeting someone new. Although, for the time being, I have really enjoyed the appreciative looks. :)
How have things been on the forum and IRL?
^ LOL. I love how quick doc's throw AD's out. Worst things ever.
Anxiety disorders tend to be particularly common, and so I sense that the logistics of providing any meaningful treatment would simply cost too much. At least, that seems to be reasoning of most mental health care providers.Quote:

PTSD is often portrayed as incurable - it's something you learn to live with and maintain. In that regard, thus far, I'd have to agree. I still have nightmares, I still remember things I don't want to, and I still have panic attacks - however, I'm learning how to manage such things. It would be nice if insurance covered the therapy though...
Hey Dalia, good to hear things are going well.
hey dalia!
Hey hey I was wondering where you were, welcome back :) I haven't been on in ages.
