Well, there's a girl I like and I always think of her. I always think contacting her on Facebook, and when I manage to do it, it breaks my heart if she doesn't answer. I just love her so much.
The guy is probably scared of rejection ... He is scared that you gave him your number with no intention of anything ... just gave it to him as a "go away" thing ...
A shy guy or socially anxious guy will obsess. He may call if he can overcome his anxiety and negative self-talk. A more confident guy will just call you and set up a date.
