I don't know how people can get through this!? My mind is racing! One minute I'm determined to move on and never seek her out again. And the next minute I say the hell with my pride and dignity, I half to beg for another chance! It's been a month now and I still can't tell my friends and family I got dumped, I'm embarrassed to say it.
Briefly, because this is the Ask a Female Forum, I know exactly how you feel.
It hurts and it will continue to hurt for an undefined period depending on many things - how long the relationship was, how emotionally involved you were, etc etc. Talking about it will help, so tell your friends and family. It's not embarrassing to be dumped. It happens to us all at some point. At some point you will manage an entire day without thinking about her. Honestly! Time heals and eventually you will recover. In the meantime, don't contact her and stay busy - anything to distract yourself from the pain. Being busy is the best way to work through it. Good luck!
I understand in a small way because the first time I was dumped it was a horrible and he did it through text I personally think that if you want to get over her. Tell someone and then try looking for a new girl.
Thanks for the advice! All I do is think about her and how if she would just give me another chance, I can fix the mistakes I made. I'm filled with regret!! I'm filled with hope that I can fix this! Should I try to send her nice messages? Remind her of the good times? Or should I just stay away and drive my self crazy with hope that she'll come back?
Relationships end. Its not something to be ashamed of. They have to end so that incompatible people can move on to find someone more suitable. Notice I didn't use the word 'better'. Its not a judgement about your value (or it shouldn't be), its about mutual compatibility, or not.
That said, if she broke off b/c of issues that you can address, and you work on them in good faith, you might be able to tell her this. You could ask her this. Oh, and hoping she'll come back isn't likely to work if she has actually left the relationship. Women tend to wait until (or past) the bitter end before they fly. Ask any naughty husband who tried to reconcile with his estranged wife--unless he really makes good, she's gone. Good luck.
