Is there any hope of getting my ex back?

Hey people, the other day my girlfriend wanted to go back to being friends, she said the relationship was too much for her and she needed more time. I told her in response that I wouldn't settle for second best as her friend. I then said you have made your feelings clear, and that i guess your right, it is for the best. That was the last thing i text her. Is it likely that she could come running back, thinking that she made a mistake? I want her back, and i am glad that I didn't beg her to stay. I wasn't needy about it.

She made it clear to you its over. all you go to do is move on.
She is over and done with it.

It may or may not happen. Just back off and continue on with your life. Sometimes people need a few months or more to get the relationship out of their system to return as a friend. Give her time.
