Need advise from older males on sex

I'm a male (mid 20s) and and am wondering how things will pan out as I age from a sexual desire perspective. I have a 2 questions:

As men age, does the pursuit of sex continue to influence their behaviour toward attractive women as much as it does when they are young?
Do all men interact with attractive women in a way that promotes themselves as a sexual partner even as they get older (consciously or subconsciously)?

I've been observing older men behaviors for some time and notice that, like young men, many are drawn to young, phyiscally attractive women. I would hope that it becomes much less of a focus as I age, but can't predict the future and was hoping to get some thoughts from older men in the forum.

I'm a 48 year old male. Does sex influence my behaviour? If you mean am I still horny then yes. If when single (and I'm not single) would I promote myself as a potential sexual partner if the woman rings my bell? Yep, absolutely.

Feel free to ask any other questions but remember that my experience might or might not be typical for males my age. I've been with my GF 4 months, perhaps if I had been in a sexually crap marriage for 20 years I might answer differently.

What about the age of the women you are attracted to - has that changed as you have gotten older? Also, does sex remain a focus as much as when you were younger?

I'm 47, and Boisdevie already typed my answer.

In addition, I would say that I am more capable of appreciating the beauty of attractive middle-aged women than when I was younger, though I still find younger women more attractive on average. Physically, everything is still working fine for me, though it probably helps that I am a fitness freak. I've been working out regularly in a gym for the last 21 years, and I was pretty active before that, too. However, I feel that I am less easily manipulated by attractive women than when I was younger. I learned the hard way over the years that a pretty face is absolutely not a prediction of a good personality. As time goes by, looks fade and the personality becomes really important. And, this is kind of odd, but I feel like I can see past age more easily now. I can look at an older woman and more easily visualize what she might have looked like as a younger women, and I can look at a younger woman and more easily visualize if she is going to age well or not.

As a follow-up question - If a young attractive female with an attractive personality showed interest in you (who you could see would age well), would you rather pursue her over her equal that was older... Say an older attractive female with an equally attractive personality (who you could see has aged well and was once also very attractive as a young woman)? I know that is a difficult call, but I'm just trying to get a sense if women of a certain age and attraction are more appealing to men even as men age themselves (in general).

I am attracted to attractive women my age or younger. But I would not waste time pursuing somebody significantly younger than me because that would not work for me. I'd be suspicious of a woman much younger than be being attracted to me. Also people of an age similar to me have older kids so they are independent. Does sex remain a focus? Yep, absolutely. Still as horny as ever.

Same here. Last time I got into a serious relationship, I was dating a woman who was only 22. I knew that the age difference was probably going to be a problem, but the biggest problem was her lack of maturity. At my age, I would rather not date anybody under the age of 30 anymore. However, I would be happy to have meaningless sex with a woman as young as 18.

From what my male friends have told me, the young ones are more drama and self aborbed, while older women are indepenent, have careers so they can take care of themselves, and already know what they want sexually. (generalizing here)

It truly depends on your own personal needs are, what you are looking for and what you are willing to put up with.


Don't worry you will be still having sex if you make it to 90....that providing you still have the physical ability to (that's what viagra is for lol)
