Money - am I wrong?

Me and my girlfriend have been together 2 years, we live together, we each pay money into a joint account to cover monthly bills etc. I drive and she doesn't, she says she wants us to pay for everything together, she recently brought a dishwash and now asking me for money the problem is over the 2 years she has only given me bout £100 for petrol, I pay for all services, mots, repairs (theres been alot) and petrol myself, shes always willing to have lifts though. I told her because I pay for the car im not giving her anything for the dishwasher, shes gone off in a mood and called me selfish. Am I right?

Doesnt' sound like you're selfish. So more importantly why has she gone off in a mood? Are there underlying issues that's caused her to blow her top?

Perhaps you should discuss major purchases BEFORE one of you buys something. Especially if that person is expecting to be re-imbured.

How about give her the receipts of car expense? :P... Also keep a records of your bills, just show it to her so she would see how much is the living expense for both of you.... :D
